Jacques Collaer
Jacques Collaer has spent part of his life in Africa. Mountain guide, expedition leader, art collector and High School teacher, he discovered Kenya in the 70's, climbed Mount Keny and Kilimandjaro in Tanzania. The crossings follow one another from Morocco to Algeria, from Mali to Burkina Faso, from Senegal to Mauritania, from Niger to Benin and the Ivory Coast and finally the last years Nigeria.
He co-founded in 2011 with his wife Sorella Acosta the OOA GALLERY to encourage African artists by offering them a platform for the valorization of their emerging art.
